The thing with pictures is their ability to tell a story. Their ability to be able to let you weave your own story around them. They can move you, annoy you, humour you.
They have the power to convey.
Maybe the only place where silence is more captivating than the visual impact on the viewer. At times you see pictures which just scream for an accompanying commentary because the silence is too haunting and you just want to turn your eyes away not wanting to know what is behind them while at the same time not able to turn away.
Its a funny world...

"They have the power to convey."
They sure do have, may be thats why they say,
"A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words"
"A good sketch is better than a long speech"
I am sure we all have always experienced that use of pictures/visuals turns out to be more effective than text or speech, sometimes they make you understand most difficult things very easily.
Most of the time, I have found that pictures are self explanatory, not needing any words to explain the meaning. But there are times when it becomes very difficult to decode the message the picture is trying to convey and even the message may very depending on the user perception which means there could be multiple interpretations of the same picture and the fun part is all of them seem to be true!
